ABSTRACT
Dyslipidemia
is a contributing factor to the development of Atherosclerotic cardiovascular
disease and its effective management is an important goal. Modern management
has a wide range of pharmacological intervention but may produce side effects
on prolonged use. Clinical studies reveal that herbal medicines have much
effect in prevention and management of Dyslipidemia with minimal or no side
effects. The present study is to find out the combined effect of a medicated Syamaka yavagu with life style modification
in Dyslipidemia.
In
this Interventional study, 60 participants who diagnosed with Dyslipidemia by
using case proforma and laboratory investigations, satisfying inclusion and
exclusion criteria will be selected. 30 participants each, will be randomly allocated
to study group (Group A) and control group (Group B). The study group will be
given medicated Syamaka yavagu and life style modifications for
30days while the control group was kept on lifestyle modification only, for 30
days. The responses will be assessed on objective parameters especially lipid
profile before and after the study and after follow up of 30 days. The
collected data will be analyzed accordingly.

ABSTRACT
Insomnia is a prevalent psycho
physiological sleeping disorder, included in the International Classification
of Sleep Disorders-2(ICSD-2). By definition Insomnia is-a difficulty in
initiating or maintaining sleep, or both or the perception of a poor quality
sleep. Insomnia leads to various social, interpersonal & occupational impairments.
Clinical studies have proven, yoga is effective in Insomnia . Present study is
to find out the added effect of Pratimarsha Nasya with Ksheerabala taila
(14Aavartita) over selected yoga techniques in relieving Insomnia. As per
Acharya Susrutha in Chikitsa Sthana, doing Pratimarsha Nasya daily during
evening hours(Sayam kala) renders sukhanidra prabhodanam3.A pre-post
interventional study will be performed in 40 participants both male &
female, satisfying the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Out of 40
participants, 20 each will be randomly allocated to Group 1 and Group 2. In
Group 1, Pratimarsha Nasya using Ksheerabalataila (14 Aavartita) is
administered 2 drops in each nostril along with practice of selected yoga
techniques. In Group 2, only selected yoga techniques are advised.The study
period is for 30 days. The pre & post changes in mean score value
difference will be assessed using Pittsburgh sleep quality index & data
analyzed accordingly.
