ABSTRACT
Ageing is the progressive deteriorative changes that starts from birth,
continue throughout the life and ends with death. Increasing number of elders
in the population is a matter of great concerns because of its impacts on
public health and socio-economic growth of our country. As per the report of
National Commission on Population, there are nearly 138 million elderly people
in India in 2021. Prevention and management of health problems could help the
elderly to improve quality of life and remain independence for their daily
activities. As the age advances Dhatus get degenerated due to prolonged
structural and functional changes. Rasayana is a multi-angled approach,
taking care of the body, mind and spirit, thus responsible for the total health
of a person. Quality of life is the subjective component of well-being and it
measures person’s subjective feeling of happiness or unhappiness about various
life concerns. This study is aimed at assessing the effect of Yashtimadhu
